it didnt really grow on me i mean i always liked it its just that i feel ti were on this exponential track of growth and took a step back in their direction here
i kind of felt like they were the next massive big band but it is now going to end up being unrealized potential
we will see what the next album brings

they're doing fine on their terms, that's what matters

that is true mate, they do seem to be very genuine in what they are doing and good for them

If anything, even though I'm not a huge fan of the direction he went with on Currents, this album did make them a pretty massive band in comparison to where they were at during Lonerism.

Lonerism is probably best, but I really like the direction they took on here.

Past Life doesn't deserve all the hate it gets, though is probably their weakest song just because of that voiceover.

This album opening with Let It Happen kind of makes the rest of the album seem bland in comparison. Such a huge opener, and to not have another climatic tune somewhere along the way is what drags this album down in comparison to his older stuff.
Past Life is a pretty gutsy song to put out, so I give him props on that for sure.

"its just that i feel ti were on this exponential track of growth and took a step back in their direction here

The complete opposite of how I see it. This is TI realising that potential and becoming a bigger band in the process.

The only disappointment I have with it is Reality in Motion. It would be a 5 without that track, easily
And for folks complaining about no bangers after Let It Happen, has no one heard The Moment or is that only in the American version because that song sounds like it condensed.

I love that song.

I wish I did. It just sounds so cheesily 80's with that chorus

The groove on that song really gets me, and it has one of my favorite vocal melodies on the album.
