Yeah, man. A lot of the backlash from this seemed to be because of the new vocalist. If this were a different band's first album I think it would have gotten more praise.

Nah, this is better than Periphery.
I think it was a fine progression for them musically. They needed to try something new because putting out another id or Eclipse wound't have cut it. They got rid of some of the heaviness to make a more melodic album with new vocalist, and I think they did a fine job.
