The three new songs have all been fantastic, and I've been getting crazy hyped for the new one. I expressed it by editing this review and making it almost twice as long, also bumping up the score.

I loved Pariah but I'm not sure about Same Asylum. It sounds a bit dull and uninteresting to me. I have yet to listen to the new one, though. Besides, I remember not liking H.C.E. t/t and Perfect Life was great but not the song I needed, back then. Now I love them both.

I'm pretty much 110% certain that the new one's going to be the best thing he's ever made

the same asylum as before could've been much better if they had another drummer

Myth Perfect Life and t/t were the same for me, and I still liked them when they came out but they really grew over time.
Asylum is fantastic and I also hope this new one is his best. The drumming is fine, it suits the more accessible and straightforward songwriting these new songs have. I doubt that there will be any The Holy Drinkers or No Twilight Within the Courts of the Sun on To The Bone

Asylum is... okay but not what I would expect. Sw has written clever pop on the past, which I like more. Song of I is way better than Asylum

I'm not sure which single is best I love 'em all, and they're so different which is a good sign.

Controversial new song "Permanating." Might be my favorite single so far, or tied with Asylum.

Kinda hope Permanating becomes a huge hit, just to piss off those Prog dorks. Great track.

Exactly haha, I mean it belongs on mainstream pop stations and would be better than 100% of what they usually play. I'm hoping the Bollywood dancing video he's gonna release for this track blows up.

To The Bone honestly has the potential to be the best solo record he's done so far. I've always loved the more pop oriented aspect of his song-writing, a la Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun.

New song sucks. Pariah was ok though and I really liked Song of I so the album has potential

I encourage giving Permanating a few listens. The first time I heard it I didn't get much out of it, but after the 2nd or 3rd time it was really clicking. Obviously many fans of his won't get into it though.
Song of I was really cool yea, nice Mezzanine by Massive Attack kind of vibes and with that amazing bridge section with the strings. I honestly love all the singles so far.

Apart from Same Asylum, all the new tracks are good, but still looking for that moment of brilliance that can make me appreciate the new album. Song of I is the closest I've come to accepting the new album as brilliant

Remember that four of the songs are 6+ minutes, and I heard someone describe one of the shorter songs as his new favorite solo song by Wilson, so I think it's safe to say that many of the album's surprises and brilliance are forthcoming.
Also Gibleson I'm beginning to feel the same way. It's funny that LS and SD used to be my least favorite PT albums, but lately they've been more like my top favorites, especially SD. Asylum sounds a lot like one of those songs.
