"Second favorite bm album ever right here. Top 3 of all time for me too tbh." - Hawks

First favorite BM record of all time is... ?

I am guessing it's Verisakeet, maybe?

I've only just realized I have no idea how to pronounce this band's name. Is it pronounced Agallo(ck) or Agallo(ch)?

Agallo(ck) surely?

I've always assumed it's the former. I have no etymological logic backing that assumption.

Never mind. Could it be Scottish for lake? as in loch. in which case it would be the former surely.

I always just presumed it was the former for that very reason, not sure what the 'Agal' part would mean mind.

Agalloch means ironwood tree as far as I know

agal: a cord usually of goat's hair that Arabs (as the Bedouins) wind around their heads to hold down the kerchieflike headdress

thank you Merriam-Webster.

So I suppose their name roughly translates to a lake of goat's hair worn by folk of Arabic origin. pretty metal.

I know this is (possibly) blasphemous but this is now only ahead of Serpent as far as Agalloch full-lengths go.

Same for me, but it's far ahead of Serpent and kinds close behind Marrow

Agalloch are a strange beast, I have NOTHING 3.5d. Spheres/The White is lower, everything else I have rated thus far is higher (7 releases).

There's still time...
