Also, there’s a funny comment on page 7 (or something) that says Bjork’s voice carries this album & that it wouldn’t be the same if Phil Collins was doing the vox. I can confirm this album wouldn’t work with Collins on vox, not sure how that’s a criticism mind, just thought it was an amusing comment.

I don’t think some of you understand what I meant, OF COURSE her voice is important, to say this album wouldn’t be the same with a completely different & incomparable person’s voice is a ridiculous argument. It’s like saying beans on toast isn’t the same without the beans.
Criticising the instrumentals/song-writing is one thing, if someone’s doesn’t get this side of the album they’d be incorrect but it’s a valid opinion. Swapping an integral component of the album & pretending it doesn’t exist in order to critique it isn’t valid. I’m sure Collins’ albums wouldn’t work with Axl Rose doing vox, but why is this relevant?
The initial point was probably just a throwaway flippant remark anyway, it just amused me.
