The drums make up for any technical shortcomings, they just play off him to amazingly simple but beautiful effect. This album is all about the rhythms on the musical side IMO

Definitely about rhythm musically and anger/revolution emotionally. You can't forget about how experimental it really is musically also though.

Anyone who thinks that this album isn't very challenging musically should probably re-listen to Tannhäuser / Derivè. Especially the drums.
Overall it's just repetitive riffs and chunky basslines. There are moments of technicality but for the most part it isn't very technical at all.

^that, but that still doesn't mean this is technical by any means. Some of my favorite albums aren't actually that impressive from a technical standpoint. I think that it's just stupid to argue that most of this is that hard to play.
