yea prob a different thing. I remember the 2nd verse the first few times I heard it, I thought whatever they added there for slight details of variance didn't fit well. the clanks, squeals, ambient noises.

Oh I like all that stuff, they did it really well on this album in particular. If it wasn't for all that added FX, their "turntablist/keyboardist/whatever-ist" would be jobless

I don't think is a willing effect, I think is really the sound of the chord...maybe is hitting to hard, but I'm with bloc is kinda cool...I mean it feels real :X
