Even that's pushing it. [2] Train of Thought is amazing too.

But "In the Name of God" and "Stream of Consciousness" are freaking amazing.

If you mean top 20 DT songs, I'm fine with that. I would mix plenty of songs from I&W, Awake, Scenes, and this in too.

The only songs that cut the top 20 here are maybe Blind Faith, the Glass prison and About to Crash (Reprise)

I would agree with you on the first two tracks you mentioned, but I would count Six Degrees as a whole song.

I could never count disc 2 as a whole song. It's too disjointed and the segments act like stand alone songs too much for the whole thing to ever be classed as one big song

Would you say the same for the 20+ minute epics of 70s prog?

That's different. First of all, I wouldn't really know and secondly, I'm sure they flow together much better like a single song with recurring themes rather than 8 songs with individual chorus' and structures stuck together

The structure changes like crap on most 70s prog 20+ minute epics and even some 10+ minute epics like Genesis's "The

Musical Box" so much that it's not even funny. Many of them are even divided into eight parts themselves, but play like one

track.

They can't be any more disjointed than disc 2. If you look at it as a whole, it's quite a mess. If DT were to truly make it

into one song, they'd put a hell of a lot more effort into it

But both disc 2 and songs like "Supper's Ready" and "Close to the Edge" share common themes both musically and lyrically throughout.

Hmm depends on the track I guess. This just seems too disjointed to be one song unlike oct t/t
