His voice sucks now.

The album is way too long in my opinion. It would have been a lot better if he'd cut half these songs off.

After listening to the first few tracks and thinking back to what I know and remember from Em's back catalog, I feel like Em is a great rapper but maybe not the best songwriter. He has shown flashes of creating great individual songs but for the most part his songwriting doesn't work for me. His hooks are usually garbage and not much stands out as brilliant. Verses on the other hand, he destroys.

when he says a line from this going something like "hate it like I hate this lyrics", or something like that, I laughed so hard it was terrible

"Rhyme Or Reason" is pretty cool.

Meanwhile, he has 4 singles in Billboard Top 20 right now
first ever to do so since The Beatles in 1964.
Probably a random fact

Not sure if this will have any replay value.

Em's doing a Q&A on facebook right now. Apparently Dido was considered to sing the chorus on Bad Guy but he thought it would give the meaning of the song away.

Meh...a few good songs. Probably the best he's been is a LONG time. But still nowhere as good as he used to be. Also, he should stop with the classic rock remix's.

This review was interesting to read before I heard age abum, and is well worded, but it's not a good review. I won't take away my pos, but, You complain about very trivial things and don't even seem to have listened to most of his lyrics or given the songs a chance to grow. I get the feeling you heard this album one time before reviewing, which defeats the purpose of a review(people could just listen and have the same knowledge as you)
Expecting him to completely change his subject matter is ridiculous, what he did was explain where all his past stories came from and made them more down to earth and mature. What do you honestly expect him to rap about? You dont seem to get he is already immensely popular, why would he try to reinvent the wheel just to say he did? He has a formula that works and he made it better, how you think that is a negative is not clear to me at all.

When the beat switches up in Bad Guy, that verse is excellent.

I think eminem is good at singing, he has a terrible voice but he knows when and how to put emotion into lyrics and also the lyrics make the siting better. Kinda like Roger Waters
Beserk and rap god have a lot of replay value. Both are growers, didn't even like them first time I heard them, now they are my favorite tracks in years... Berserk is so dope I can believe I ever got on the bandwagon of dissing that song. Hip hop nostalgia

Is it just me, or are the hooks on this album really irritating?

He has a new formula... This album was way more clever than any of his other ones... The way he carries on stories and lines from older albums is genius. He's always had a ton to rap about and known how to do it, he was just lazy from encore to recovery cus he was a drug addict ( he never did drugs, even though he rapped about them, before that)

Hooks are bad but not so bad that I need to skip the songs so I'm ok with them bc this is lyrical rape on every track
