I have to give credit to Skrillex because the Scary Monsters EP was one of the things
that got me into electronics. Man, that was only less than two years ago. All I did was wake up, blast
Rock'n'Roll in my earphones and go to class.
Damn this is so disappointing tho!

^ skrillex got you into electronically oriented music?......wow, you must have been pretty sheltered because between electronic music getting popular in the late 70's until now there have been much, much, much better artists, not to mention "dubstep" is shit.

"People voting this as dubstep need to be banned."
Stupid. For one thing Scary Bolly Dub is certainly dubstep. And you realize the rating is for the artist overall, not just one EP? Bangarang and both "Monsters" EPs have plenty of dubstep on them. It's honestly pretty dumb to NOT label him dubstep.

@sinsexsodomy
I've been really into music in general since about one year and a half ago. Before that I
only knew a handful of artists. I didn't exist back in the 70s or the 80s and I was a kid in the
90s. "Smack My Bitch Up", for instance, was a bit too vulgar for me when it was released :-)
I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of. The "Scary Monsters" EP just showed me how cool
electronic music is and can be and it gave the wind to my sails so to speak. I discovered
sputnikmusic, RYM, allmusic, Wikipedia articles and the rest is history ^_^
P.S. There's tons of good and great dubstep!

I'm voting this based on his picture.

he has the odd track with dubstep elements but that doesn't make it his main genre like most people say

well no shit most of his stuff isn't dubstep. like the only one of his actually famous songs that's dubstep is scary monsters itself, unless of course you consider Kyoto broken beat (though that's not entirely clear). however, songs like fucking die, scatta, right in (I think) are dubstep as well so it's a fair tag i'd say

I'm not saying that all he does is make dubstep, but just about every track contains some element of it, even if it's coming from the American side of things only

ah, I agree. Question about the whole "wubwubwub" thing though: does any track with that kind of Massive-compressed wobble count as "having dubstep influence?"
