Yeah, the two opening tracks are great but the rest is hit and miss. I find it has good moments but lots of bad too.

Exactly. Sometimes I forget that the intro song exists, which is dumb because it almost as good as the actual title cong.
|
| |
Yeah, totally agree. =)
It feels like too much experimentation and not enough concrete goods. I think Nate's idea in his head seemed better than it did on record which isn't normally the case when you look at Dog Problems and Aim and Ignite.

Hm, that's interesting. I found that this one didn't really have that much experimentation at all, aside from the first two tracks. Other than the title track, I wasn't a huge fan of the spoken word parts. Too many other parts were too boring.

Well, I mean, experimenting for them in terms of using hip-hop beats, vocal effects and electronics. It's new to them and they didn't spend enough time with it in my opinion. It's clear with Dog Problems and Aim and Ignite; while it would be experimental to some, to them it was sort of natural.
A.K.A: Some Nights feels unnatural.

It didn't feel unnatural to me. This was the first album I've heard from them, so I didn't really have any expectations.
|
| |
Ah, well that's probably why. =P
Have you heard Aim and Ignite since listening to this?

Yeah aim and ignite is near.perfect

I totally agree TheSpirit. Everything from the sonic details to the fantastic drumming to the vocal efforts and brass sections is just amazing!
This has none of that.

You forgot the violins and the riffs, man.

Yeeeeeah and the guitar tracking too! There's at least 5 layers of guitars on each song.

Same dude. I am genuinely happy that these guys are finally getting the popularity they deserve, it's just a shame that it's for the wrong album.
|
| |
Yeah, totally and they're being hated on for all the wrong reasons. =P
Totally the wrong album to make them popular but I'm happy for Nate and the gang all the same.
