You're certainly in the minority on that one, but I can't comment on it cause I haven't heard the new one yet

Yeah I know, I just can't get over the retro vibe and how every single song is 100% memorable

"This album is inferior to their new release"
sowing living the contrarian life
I think what lacked the most in their latest was that it didn't have as many climaxes as Prisoners and the songs seemed rather small in scale. fun listen though

Consensus is that this is their best, but I also love the dancy vibes and nostalgic wash of The Brink and the epic synth-rock heights of Synthia. You really can't go wrong and I'm just equal parts shocked that you haven't listened to them before and excited for the future you to check their other stuff.
