this album is not bad, just very stupid and annoying
Pretty much.
I had a tough time sitting through the album entirely, it was so annoying at times.
Then again i've never been a big fan of Sludge.

I said that for me Remission is their best album... I dont listen The Hunter at all, becouse I am more into heavyer sound (that doesnt mean that its awfull album), I rated it 4.5 becouse I like this band and I'm trying to give them better rate so other people give them a shot...

This does have a couple of really good songs, but also to much crappy ones. I usually don't complain about an albums length but this one is really to long.

its not even an hour, listening to this feels like 15 minutes to me, it flies by.

They're easily one of the biggest metal bands in the US. This album debuted at #10 on the US charts, which is huge for an extreme metal band. Giving a ridiculous rating so that people will "check it out" is just silly.

As far as the hunter goes.. it's my least favourite of Mastodons LPs.
Still, they've managed to craft some beautiful moments on this, and as a result i've bumped to a 4. (thumbs up) m/
