How does that impact your rating of this EP, released way before any of this shit happened?

Album Rating: 4.5
they're obviously going to have a dual-release party with Tool on both new albums

Album Rating: 5.0
It doesn't really but with how shitty these dudes are irl makes me want to take it back either way

Album Rating: 4.5
lol that's dumb. you should be able to separate the art from the artist.
|
| |
Sometimes that is easy to do and sometimes it is not. If you gave a band money to do something, that changes everything.
Also lol

guy 5's an album from 2011.
guy donates money via kickstarter/whatever to help fund the band's next album.
album never comes, band seemingly will never fulfill release
guy gets salty because his money was essentially stolen.
guy downvotes rating on previous, unrelated album solely on events unrelated to said previous album.
nope, that's f'ing dumb.

Lol it's not dumb, so you feel that way about Lost Prophets
And I didn't donate btw so your little anyalysis of me is fucking stupid
|
| |
I can totally see someone doing that if they donated tbh. Hell, I would be pissed as fuck if I donated. I think lowering the rating could just be a coping mechanism.

So now you equate a child rapist with a band (for whatever unknown reason) not completing/releasing an album as anywhere equal?
The comparison you're wanting to make here is Corelia and Tool. You're not going back and downvoting Lateralus just because it's been 'x' years and no Tool album#5.

Never said they are equal but when I spin the album these are the things I think about. Which now effects my experience of the album.
But in any case you should be able to "separate the art from the artist"
Did Tool actively steal from their fans and continue to lie/be shadey about it or are they just taking their time?

here's hoping we get the full release in 2018 (i have no hope)

Album Rating: 3.5
This was a few years ahead of it's time upon release, but now it just feels like a slightly above average djent album. Can definitely see why it was so highly rated though, especially in 2011.

The genre doesn't age well imo. Or let's just say its shelf life is very short.

lol no

I still love the album. What a pity band members behaved like PoSs. Glad I didn't have the money at the time they were funding it, I'd get scammed too

I highly doubt it was meant to be a scam. It was probably a similar situation as Of Machines where they crowdfunded the money for the album, but it just didn't work out. There's never a guarantee on crowdfunded albums.
|
| |
Nevertheless, at the very least they should be compelled to provide some form of communication to those who donated.

Agreed

Or better yet, give the money back lol
