Stadium Arcadium is a 2.5-3/5 for me.

Dani California, If, Wet Sand, Snow, and Tell Me Baby are all worth checking out, too.

But yeah, its way too bloated. Most of the tracks feel like b-sides (and they probably were).

Wet Sand is one of my favorite RHCP tracks. Definitely worth checking out.

I love RHCP but nothing about it feels like it should be a double album if you know what I mean. A double album should be ambitious and an album of all you've learned put to its best use. Electric Ladyland was ambitious with its two lengthy jams and its willingness to go beyond with its techniques for more than an hour. SA doesn't have it from the name to track times to the cover.

The guitar solo at the end with the two different guitars was amazing.

True, it's no Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness... an album that could have been a triple album if need be and still rock. Have you heard the b-sides for it? So many gems!

In my opinion SA is a great album, it has lots of enjoyable songs and Frusciante's guitar work is truly remarkable. It also has one of my favorite RHCP songs which is Turn it Again, I mean, that solo is completely beyond words..

SA had it moments but could easily be trimmed down to one disc instead of two, a problem most double albums have anyway

Agreed. There are definitely some gems on SA, but the problem is they're weighed down by some snoozefests.

Well I certainly agree with that too, there is a considerable amount of filler.

RHCP hasn't been really interesting since Californication

I think By the Way is as interesting as Californication.

By the Way wasn't terrible though.

It's far from terrible, but I still only think it's like a 3

The problem with SA is that it's had 37 of it's 38 songs released, and only 10 or 12 of them were good. Which is a problem.

I would say that at least 15 were good...

Been a long time RHCP, and this album spanned 3 of my all time Chili Peppers songs (Raindance Maggie, Look Around and Brendan“s Death Song), plus, "Factory of Faith" has a killer bassline!
Definitely recommended.
