"This might be my most hated album ever because unlike most complete dogshit albums it's from a band I really like" that's a shame treb. maybe it is that i'll pretty much support anything Gerard does now but this album really clicked for me a good few years ago and now I love it. not as much as the first 3 but I love it.

I remember my brother absolutely loving this album when it came out and I never understood it… might try to give it another crack.

good album with some bangers but not even nostalgia can hide that this is a bit of a mess of a record. the conventional weapon stuff they scrapped for this is so much better.

it's def messy in spots but i feel like Number 3 is the only part of Conventional Weapons I'd have slotted in to improve this, the rest def feel like B-Sides in the same way as stuff like Heaven Help Us felt for The Black Parade. Which, for MCR is still great. but i wouldn't trade stuff like Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back or The Only Hope for Me Is You for anything.

Agree with Save Yourself but not a big fan of The Only Hope For Me Is You.

That's one of my favorites. Its really romantic lyrically, the kinda song I'd sing to a partner.

Fair enough. The track isn't for me personally. Summertime, Scarecrow and The Kids From Yesterday scratches the same itch but better imo.

people hated this bc it was Gerard Ways true form - bright but edgy camp theatre kid. also it was kinda dancy as hell. ive always thought this was just as good as the black parade, just in a different way

Never could grasp why this album was so disliked. It’s very different from Black Parade and Three Cheers, but holy hell is it ever a fun listen

Save Yourself in a top 3 MCR song. It's fucking fantastic. Album's a mess, otherwise. Some good to great tracks paired with some shit I'd happily never hear again.

If you've never delved in to them I would suggest Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. About as perfect of a punk rock/pop/emo album as you'll find.

Danger Days is a super fun album but extremely odd note for the band to go out on. It's the poppiest they ever got, and by no means is that a bad thing, it's just mostly devoid of a lot of elements from the bulk of their catalog.
