Ok. I just finished listening to this, and it is a solid 4.5. What do I have to say about this? I have the feeling it will be my album of 2010. Still waiting for Deathspell Omega, Sodom and Agalloch to judge, however. Now to get some Agalloch to catch up, because I can't believe I haven't listened to more of them.

Well I think of Agalloch more like Doom/Folk than black and Alcest has that shoegaze-ish thing about them... Enslaved is more pure black metal than them so... yeah...

Agalloch is folk black metal with doom elements. They're more black metal than they are doom. And yeah Alcest is shoegaze with black metal elements. Both bands help people get into black metal though without a doubt.
