Ok so this is good but still not clicking with me a whole ton; the last two tracks are my favorites which is a bit disappointing because it leaves me wanting more. Definitely feels more like an EP/demo than a proper album (which I guess is kind of what it is).

If you're going through the discog you'll find something that clicks before long.

it has charm, not too much more

I instantly loved 2:45 AM from Either/Or and Fond Farewell from A Basement on a Hill and just shuffled around his discog until I came to the realization that all of his material is basically equally brilliant. Those remain my favorite songs though.

Fond Farewell is a good one, 2:45 doesn't stand out more than its neighbours for me but Either/Or is a 5/5 album so yeah, also a quality tune

i partially answered in the edit, i think you'll like his indie pop songwriting more than the singer/songwriter stuff

Interesting intersting. I feel like acoustic s/s and "full band"/lush indie pop are equally Boney-core though. Always interesting to see what other people thing about your taste.



In any case this is hanging somewhere between a 3 and 3.5 right now, will give it a couple more spins then move along for now.
