Indeed, great LP. I am only now starting to dig post-Powerslave albums.
For now, impossible for me to compare IM albums.
But, i can say that "The Book of Souls" & this one, are both pretty good, imo.
My next stop in this discog run is "A Matter of Life and Death"

ΑMOLAD and Senjutsu are the best after BNW imho
Book of Souls has some digs, but it's mostly meandering

Funnily enough I “missed” AMOLAD in 2006 but was back for this - and was pleasantly surprised.
Back half rules for mine

I will get their new one, Senjustu and jam it.

This requires a lot of patience but it really is a blinder.

El Dorado, Mother of Mercy, Coming Home and When the Wild Winds Blow are bangers.

True. Far from their 80's stuff but far from anything that is remotely bad too.

Isle of Avalon might honestly be in my top 10 Maiden songs. Such an epic tune

Yep Isle of Avalon is the bollocks.

This is solid indeed it just seems like their albums keep getting longer and longer. This one is almost a feature length movie lol
Which isn't necessarily a bad thing since this is extremely listenable. But it does kinda make me miss their shorter, catchier era songs, which is something I rarely feel. Still lots of heaters on here though.

That's understandable for sure.

Still fun though! I think this comes in ahead of Fear of the Dark and a bit below Dance of Death for me.
