After hearing all the shit from people about this album on this website, and not to mention the not so impressive STA, I was expecting it to suck balls. On the other hand I found it to be more than enjoyable. Yeah, I will agree with some people that the lyrics can get cheesy (TOTAL NIGHTMARE...was he fucking serious?), but man I think the music is great IMO. The first half to me was more of a guilty pleasure rather than utter awesomeness. The second half of the album I think is near perfect. All in all, I love this album (not an a7x fan boy), fantastic melodies, catchy choruses, Mike Portnoy is always good, guitars are amazing, and the vocals were good too. I feel like this could become a 5 for me. Best songs: Save Me, Fiction, Victim, and Welcome to the Family

The reason I didnt like Avenged basically is because they were born in the emo era, and they look and sound kind of emo, but with portnoy drumming with them it seems like they are a more mature band
