That’s the thing, I can see some appeal, but this is one that most of it I can’t see. How can someone enjoy nearly an hour of nearly the same simplistic murky riff over and over again? Idk man, just kinda stirring the pot lol

that's literally the appeal though. the semi-tantric riffs coupled with the throat vocal styles are intending on creating a specific headspace, namely that you are a Weedian or pilgrim or whatever trudging through an unforgiving desert landscape, like the re-issued album art details.
there's also a sense a myth behind the story, too. 3 stoners wanted to created a monolithic album, but were so high it took them nearly 4 years to create.
