What is a doozy? I just think of Ned Ryerson whenever I hear it.

This album is funny as shit. The anger, the satire, the snarky sarcasm, just brilliant.

Funny how the lyrics to this album has become just as applicable to modern America as UK in the 70s. Haven't heard this in forever, God Save the Queen is one of my fav punk songs ever

Same.

The anger when rotten spits out "don't be told what you want and don't be told what you need" is unmatched for me.

Shame he diluted it all when he started flogging butter but that line is unbelievable.

After all the nonsense with Brexit, Corbyn, parliament and the stagnated youth listen to Anarchy in the UK.

Lydon was 19 when he wrote that. Play it loud.

on the one hand this is an extremely important part of british culture

on the other it's essentially a punk boy band

It's one of the only true punk bands. McLaren tried to stick it on a leash and mold it but look what happened. You can't control something like the Pistols.

i dunno man, a bunch of annoying pretentious lit students, one of which was my flatmate, who fetishize all things leftie and counter culture (but whose primary taste is queen and shopping in vintage clothe markets) all striked me as pretty fucking wrong
