The Snow Goose is Camel's finest hour. This album is proof that you don't need vocals to tell a story. The instrumentation does all the talking here!

There are no cheesy lyrics or any lounge rock snoozer tracks to hold it back - just flawless music.

Brilliant compositions by Andy Latimer and Peter Bardens. The melodies are beautiful, there is plenty of emotion, and each track flows perfectly into the next. Of course we cannot forget the tight rhythm section of Andy Ward and Doug Ferguson.

This is one of the stronger concept albums out there and it's all instrumental. The Snow Goose puts any pathetic post-Piper Pink Floyd record to shame. It absolutely crushes the joke called 'The Wall', which has Roger Waters non-stop babbling for 1 hour. Turning 'The Wall' into an instrumental record couldn't save it because that rock-infused disco music is trash.

Highlights here are Rhayader, The Snow Goose, and La Princesse Perdue.

I definitely prefer Mirage, but this was a great listen. The first half was way better than the second though.

I hate seeing positive fozzie soundoffs because it makes me confused as to whether or not he's a huge troll, good going fozzie
