I'm not sure if I would "get" it when listening though.
I encourage you to listen to this record if you're having trouble getting into Converge - it's (I believe) their most immediately accessible and catchy record and it helped me get into their back catalogue.

no no, i enjoyed darkhorse. i remember it streamed for the first time, but then i listened to the rest of the album and it just seemed to go back to the Converge i never understood.
