this always reminded me of what MM would sound like if they wrote sunny melodies instead of really claustrophobic, angular ones

like obviously this has it's depressing moments just like MM have their funny ones, but overall TLCW and Long Drive just give me disillusioned, exhausted vibes. this is harmonic and upbeat

like I were to clickbait it - Isaac talks shit about the pretty sunset, Doug just takes it in

I would say that this is more about people taking in life through their surroundings than the claustrophobia or drama of MM's albums.
