"The 90's were the best decade ever."
Ha! Danny I assume you were born in '89 judging by your handle, but the '90s had more than its share of shite.
|

Yep, born in 89.
What's your fave decade in rock music SH?

The answer is aways, "Any decade except this one". :D

Smooth move bro.

Nothing beats the 70s. 80s/90s are pretty much tied for second
|
| |
The 70's are my 2nd fave decade hard. I just identify with the 90's
more, but yeah, I love the 70's almost as much. The 80's would have to
be 3rd for me, the fact that I'm not a big hair metal fan kinda brings
that decade down a bit for me, even if some of my all-time faves were
produced in those days.

80s is simultaneously the best and worst decade for everything

The 80s had hair metal and new wave (yuck). But also had hardcore and post punk.

Not to mention some of the best extreme metal albums in the last part of the decade

"new wave (yuck)."
Talking Heads are amazing and Blondie is pretty above average. It's more of a hit or miss genre than a shit genre.

"Talking Heads are not new wave, fuck you."
Almost everyone considers them new wave outside of Sputnik. People in general consider it new wave, Wikipedia, Allmusic, basically everywhere else.
With that said, they're the best damn new wave band in existence.

I guess they kind of are in the strict sense of the word, but I can't think of any new wave that I enjoy anywhere near as much as them.
