well "love" isnt the right word. i just like that it doesnt hide its pop tendencies behind angsty vox or any other crap theyve done in the past. sounds more natural that way

The Black Market is a really well written song, it's just underperformed. As are all of the songs off of The Black Market. I personally enjoy the more rock oriented Rise Against as much as their old stuff stylistically. So I'm not turned off by their stylistic turn unlike some.
Kotov Syndrome and Awake Too Long are tied for worst RA song for me.

their newer songs can be rather catchy but there's nothing why i'd listen to the band anymore. they sound bored and old and can't pull it off at all. they really lost their energy somewhere between 2006 and 2008, although savior rules

The lyrics for The Black Market (song) are fucking killer
I feel like the band only really sounded tired on TBM. On Endgame the band felt like they were in full force but the album was restricted by it's all too clean production, not much really has the impact it would if they used the same production as TS&TW. It would be a 4 easy with that production.

Agreed about Endgame production, but that album was a bit dull. This has a lot of nostalgic value for me, and The Sufferer+Siren Song are ace.
