As a Patreon member helping Disillusion fund the new record, last night, available for only one day, I was able to listen to a premix version of the album. I cannot say much else due to the promise I made to keep specific details disclosed but I can tell you all it’s actually happening. Okay, I think I can give you one little nugget : Expect some really great growls from Andy.

Dear friends, well, to put it into very dramatic words .... today is the day that we all have been waiting for and I for myself cannot really fully understand that I am writing this today: the record is finished!!!!! Mix and mastering are done and we all are truely amazed by what it turned out to be in the end. It simply sounds great, delivers both, depth and power and the story of course. There are always things that turned out to be a little different than you expected, some songs were easier to finish, some a pain in the ... but there’s no way around it, the band and I are so proud to have achieved such an outstanding result!



The last seven weeks have been a hell of a ride. Actually the past 3 months, when things started to come to an end and the pressure became extreme. We set ourselves a schedule for the year and as days passed by, it became clearer and clearer that it will be very tough to make everything in time without making compromises, because compromises in music is not what DISILLUSION stand for We had to face some serious throwbacks over time and all of those were really endangering the plans that we made. But we were able to manage everything! There was a time when everybody in the band realized what has to be done now and that we have to bring this ship across the sea and to safe harbors with believe and power. And so we did! I am so proud of this band and of the guys! And frankly, this shows, what the band is capable of, which also is an achievement over the 2 years one shall not neglect.



Besides writing the lyrics, finalizing all recordings, recording the missing bass, doing vocal recordings - at the same time we preparing the Patreon live show that turned out to be a blast and a 2 hour show right in the middle of everything, it was amazing to meet so many of you and to share this evening, the music and so many emotions in one day with you!

And the moment this was over, the mix started and of course the mix was the toughest thing in the process. And right in the middle of this we even shot a video for „The Great Unknown“. As I said - I am so proud of the band that we pulled this through without compromises and I am sure - and I know - all results will be great!



So, I am aware that I have been off-line here for quite some time, which was not the plan, but please understand that I had to fully concentrate on the things to do and the schedule. In my life I have never jumped between different roles so quickly, I am sure you understand that making music, recording it, playing it live and then mixing it, each demanding a completely different focus, so there was basically no private life in the past months, but now I’m getting back to it, to everything and I am really looking forward to it. And I will be back here on Patreon as well. Anyway - we did it! It is done! And this is the news if the day, and we all are so much looking forward to sharing the final thing with you asap!



Now I am focusing on the final cover layout and the ARTBOOK (again: absolutely last call if you want to contribute something!!!!!!



And in around 2 weeks all will be handed over to our label and then ... yeah all will be great 👍🏿

Since they made it official now I can finally tell you. They played a gig for their patreons in May and played the new record in full length. It sounds amazing as expected

Yeah but what was it like style wise? I recently checked out Gloria & was disappointed with that one.

I don't want to give too much away but they already stated somewhere that the new record is a follow-up to BTTOS in terms of music as well as the story of the protagonist. And that is definitely true.

Fair. I wasn’t sure if now they’d played it live whether that made it ok to reveal everything, but I guess unless it was filmed then no-one else would (or perhaps should) know. Good to hear anyway, looking forward to it.
