Gee, I don't know. It's not like Green Day is a multi-platinum recording artist or anything.

I know, but I'm just saying that I don't see how it was any different 10 years ago, when Dookie and Insomniac were huge among the grunge crowd.

I know the album is pure simplicity, but the riffs are amazin, the lyrics are unreal and the songs are catchy... The deserve to be the best mainstream band in the world

Bands should stay out of politics..it might piss some of their fans off and turn them off to the band.

Then those fans aren't real fans.

i agree, the move to political music is not what turned me away from green day, it was the fact that they jumped on a bandwagon that is holding more bands than their previous band wagon, and that their new album just doesn't tickle my fancy.

I don't really care if Green Day talk about politics.I just don't listen. Like really, I find it funny that there are people out thre are like "hmmm.....I don't know what to think about the war in Iraq, lets ask the guys who made Dookie".
Wow, I can't believe we're almost of the 50th page.

Listen, it's a real headache trying to clean up these reviews, especially since we have to manually delete each single comment. PLEASE self-moderate and try to avoid page after page of spam. If someone makes a dumb comment, just report it and the mods will deal with it. By arguing with them, you're becoming a problem yourselves. I know most of you are just trying to do the right thing and educate them, but it's really just adding to the problem. Thanks.

5 pages of spam?!? Sheesh, these are the times I'm happy I'm not a mod.
The main problem with this album, for me is that it has no replay value and barley grew on me. The songs are decent save for some questionable lyrics. This Message Edited On 06.04.06

There's a ton of mindless shit that got posted. The mods are cleaning it up, thank Jesus.
And I Luvatar, I hope their next album doesn't go back to their old stuff, but progresses their sound. Like pop punk for the masses, but a GOOD record, that's not overplayed. This Message Edited On 06.05.06
