But the thing here is, he doesn't like the album just because everyone else likes it, and to have such a hipster/elitest view on music just seems silly to me.
And I'm not a "mainstream junkie", I enjoy good music, whatever it is. And judging by your ratings, I don't see a single indie record rated.

Where does he say that? I will vindicate you on his un-indie tastes though. Thebleedingalarm, Cry of the Afflicted, Stutterfly, Secret and Whisper... are you from Kelowna by any chance?

Did I ever state "I don't like Radiohead because it's mainstream"? No, I did not... You're again,
making that same foolish assumption. Your "favorite bands" list is full of bands that are acclaimed by
almost every single music site with very few negative attraction. They're played on radios, and are in
tons of music stores... As for my list, The Dear Hunter and Circa Survive are both extremely Indie
bands, as well of them being some of my favorite bands.
I wish I was from there, but sadly no.

Huh? I'm sorry I'm not a mainstream junkie like you
Strange how this bug affects albums with high ratings and massive fan bases XD
Saying that seems like he has a problem with popular music.

Yeah, those aren't really indie, but okay.

Huh. The only people I know who've heard all of those bands have been from the Okanagan or at least from interior BC. Whatev.

Circa Survive are on Atlantic.

Companioncube: Circa Survive and The Dear Hunter are both very indie bands; you even saying that leads
me to believe you lack the knowledge of what the word "Indie" is... Or haven't you head of The Dear
Hunter? Every single album by The Dear Hunter has been produced by Casey, while the first album was
self released by Casey... That's the epitome of Indie. Circa Survive just matches the genre of Indie.
I'm not arguing with you Prophet

@FlamingDogs: write a soundoff
@Waior: Where'd you get the pic, might fap to it later

I wrote a couple before, didn't like them, and thus discarded them.
And actually, looking The Dear Hunter up again, Casey self-released a few of the bands albums.

Just because its self produced and release doesn't make it indie. That has nothing to do with the sound of the music.
Thats fine, it wasn't much of an argument anyway.

A lot of (wrong) people define "indie" in regards to it's exposure, production and distribution (i.e. none).

Which is right but shouldn't be. Which, in turn, is unavoidable.

Looking up the definition of Indie again, I was right ;]
The Dear Hunter explains themselves to be indie as well, so I have Casey Crescenzo on my side, and
he's a genius in every aspect!

Radiohead are an indie band in production terms, but don't make indie music
|

Indie hijacked the word Independent just for memorial reference.
