"Folkiest? I don't hear much folk."
Well, the riff in Supernaut does feel folk-inspired if you ask me.

I really believe The Straightener influenced Agalloch a lot

Prob. Sabbath is arguably one of the most borrowed from bands of the 70's.
But yeah, I'd say Sabbath def incorporated diverse styles in their music. They weren't just a hard rock/heavy metal band. They did different things, as they felt it suited them.

Having said that, LZ prob broke the most genre barriers of the Trinity.

An irony, cause they were the ones that stole more shit too

Probably.

Led Zeppelin were the least innovative of the 3.
|
| |
They were the least forward minded, agreed, but they incorporated:
-reggae
-folk
-Asian music
-and other things
Not counting their heavy blues influence.
|
| |
DP did incorporate funk though, as well as classical and blues influences.

I had a discussion with Nero recently along these lines.

DP > LZ [2]
Both ruled tho.
|
| |
Not crazy talk at all, DP were more innovative and creative, better live (based on live albums/footage) and better instrumentally in all departments expect maybe drums (Paice is a beast thouh).
