i actually don't think most of the rapping on here is that amazing, but the differences between the mcs are enough to keep it interesting all the time. even odb is tolerable. production elevates it too.
i mean ghost, rae and gza always slay but the others...meh
deck's good on it though. meth is a pretty good rapper but it's more his charisma and his lisp that make him stand out.
anyone know what I mean?

yeah i know what you mean; the mcs you mentioned certainly outshine the rest of the collective. i just think RZA has such a badass voice, lol. it's still a classic in my eyes

i dunno maybe if i'd been into rap around 1994 and not like 4 years old i'd have a diff opinion. as it happens, i wasn't.
i mean you get perfect tracks like cream etc but then you get a few that are just not quite there. rza's production is always on point but he's a terrible rapper. so pretentious. i find myself listening to key songs from here but not the entire album.
i think rae's two OB4CL, gza's liquid swords and ghost's supreme clientele are all better
