"As full listens I like Black Celebration, Music for the Masses, Playing the Angel and Ultra more than Violator, with Black Celebration being one of my favorite albums period. Some Great Reward is also noteworthy for having Blasphemous Rumours which I often end up considering to be their very best song. Just check them all tbh, there's always at least a gem or two."

as a full listen this one's pretty hard to beat, but I do prefer SOFAD (outside of Judas, which I've never liked)

This cover of "Enjoy The Silence" is as good as the original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3cEWRdCI8w

I enjoy nearly every single cover of that song haha, it's like my fav song ever. Cover is pretty cool. I think it would benefit from a slight increase in tempo

Meh, I've yet to listen to a Depeche Mode cover that I actually like. They're one of the most un-coverable bands out there for me. Can't explain why, but I'm never even remotely satisfied. That one's a nice try though, the ambition's there at least.

It's ok imo, obviously not a patch on the original.

i like a lot of female-sung covers of DM, if only because of the inevitable change in tone

Hooverphonic's "Shake the Disease," aside from being a little slow, ain't bad for instance

The best ETS cover, to my mind, is the one by Failure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Obg2rHYpiwA

my copy of the reissue was eaten by the flood a few months ago

at least it didn't get my MFTM, that thing was a bitch to find (for under $50, at least)
