say what you want about Point of Entry, at least it doesn't have a track that's as egregiously stinky as take on the world or united

Point of Entry has some good tracks but it really just feels like British Steel 2.0 to me, lacks a bit of identity.

which you can't say about literally any of their other albums up to Painkiller imo!

Slowly discog run this legendary metal gods. Some famous pieces on this album, but for me it is a bit flat melodically, as a whole and uneven. That said, still a very interesting LP for 1980.

Guitarists are virtuosi as usual. Such a great band to see live, one of the best.

to be honest I think being BS 2.0 if anything should make people keep PoE in a bit higher regards. It's still a tight and catchy record and it makes no sense to hate it especially if people love this one

The rage rules. This should be at a 4 avg atleast especially compared to other albums of there's. Firepower is a a 3.9 so is sin after sin. This isn't quite as good as screaming or defenders but it's very close

United and Take On the World are top contenders for worst Priest songs

but yea, The Rage is exceptional. I'm also huge on You Dont Have to Be Old to Be Wise and Steeler m/

Rapid fire, metal gods, breakin the law, grinder and the rage are all upper tier priest tracks. 1-2 fillers track here like united could easily be taken off and the album would be stronger overall but this is still a top 5 priest album easy. classic

Painkiller, Stained Class, Screaming, Sad Wings, Defenders...I could be convinced to give it sixth.

This has become one of my fave Priest albums to listen to over the years. The Rage is a stellar tune.

This isn't quite as good as screaming or defenders but it's very close

Might take it over Screaming, but not Defenders.
