Yeah, this band has always had a major issue with getting a solid grip on songwriting. I'd argue that they hadn't even figured out how to keep songwriting consistent until Gemini and at that point they cut away a lot of what made all their previous albums so interesting unfortunately. But this album does have some insanely good prime cuts for sure.
