Glad we agree on that. There are still some of his early tracks that I can still dig on, but his edgy 8th grader humor just grew off me.

oh yeah some of the humor got way lost on me. but his lyricism on slim shady lp and mmlp is nuts. not talking about the beats, talking about the lyrics. that's why I'm trying to find out if and how anyone else compares to that level of skill.

is this an actual serious conversation or just a really well-executed metajoke about the characterisation of metalheads?

and that's generally the response I anticipated hence why I never care too much to find more out about hip hop/rap anyways

They're not fast/weird with their rhyming like eminem is but they have a lot of clever and sometimes funny lyrics

you can really tell who the hip hop aficionados are and who the "every now and then" hip hop listeners are just from reading their comments lol.

The past like 10 pages of this thread are just hard to read with a straight face

I mean yeah, that came off like elitist and everyone has an opinion, but it's like an athlete trying to talk baseball even though his only experience with it is little league. It just comes off cringy

I specifically stated I knew very little about hip hop and asked a specific question about the logistics of other rappers' performances. if it comes off as cringy to u ur prob a smug asshole js

Lol not trying to be smug at all, but dude if you think I'm calling you out specifically (when I stated the past 10 pages of comments) then your inferiority complex is showing.

Again, not trying to start an argument or anything. Just saying what the reaction must be by people that are genre aficionados
