He might mean scary in reference to its intimidating scope.

Scary's an interesting way to describe it, it definitely is in a way. I'd say it's more cold, desolate, and isolating and definitely has some creepy moments. T/T is probably the darkest on here

Would have thought In Limbo and some of How To Disappear Completely would be the 'scary' songs. I suppose

Ha cheers Friday.
Yep when this was released off the back of a generation defining album (OK Comp literally changed the direction of 'traditional guitar rock music') people were anticipating either a return to bends, or a more off kilter OK comp.
What we got was bleeps and bloops. People were baffled, the critics tried to tell everyone the reasons but the masses slowly began to realise it was an unbelievable album.

I see what you mean. I dont mean scary in a negative way at all. I just mean that this album brings
some weird abstract sounds into the music world. Its beautiful but dark. Which is what
they wanted to do. Have you guys used the app they released?

Its pretty nuts but gives a weird visual of their music after OKC.

I give this credit for leading many people to explore more experimental electronic music. For that reason, I'd call it revolutionary

Idioteque is their best song. Love Thom's beautiful wails during the second chorus.
