It is rather nice having something like sputnik where I joined when I was 14 years old and now that I'm 30 it is like having a safe space lmao. A safe space for music discussion and making immature 14 year old type comments lol, it's easier to find friends on the internet who have the same taste as you then finding people in person, and really a lot of best friends end up being people who aren't like you at all and that is really why ya'll are best friends cuz differences can bring people together for more interesting times.

Love Ohms a lot but I def wanna see how it ages. I remember def having Gore in that second tier upon release before the hype wore off... now it's far and away my least favorite.

yeah a week does sound about right but in the mid 2000s there was a time when it was expected for the site to crash/be taken down every single day for hours. light bulb fantastic was a user known primarily as a hacker/troll and people had to respect him or he would hack your account/shut the site down if any user pissed him off, this went on for months and the site would sometimes get shut down once a day by him, then someone unlocked all of the old moderator forums that only staff can see including a forum that was private to mx and light bulb fantastic and it turned out he was working on the site with permission from mx at the same time as he was publicly trolling the users making them think that he was a sputnik vigilante more than he really was, i think even the regular moderators at the time did not know until all of the private forums were unlocked for a day
