But yeah I can't think of any other band of this ilk that pulls off multiple vocalists like this. Them harmonies are delicious

I probably need this band right now.

Oh man Fractions is godly yeah
Also In A Lose Lose Situation and In A Win Win Situation are literally 2 of my all time favourite songs. No doubt one of my favourite back to back pair of tracks ever.

For sure those are brilliant. I feel like no one ever talks about the opener on here, but the part towards the end where they're all trading vocal lines is one of my favorite parts.
Yearning for the sound
Breaking from the crowd
Leaving all the cynics
Racing for the finish
Time runs
Time runs
Time runs
TIME RUNS OUT

In a Win Win Situation is gorgeous. My fave from Question is def Alibis and Lying Eyes, but the first 3 tracks are also pre brilliant. If Studying Politics was a little later the opening run of Question would be perfect for me
From Bloodless on is my favorite section of Weak's End, Bloodless especially, but I also do really like Ponytail Parades
I should probs have this a 4 5. Perhaps some revisits are in order. I have always loved Edge of the World and Cutthroat is also super good
Gosh, really their first 2 albums and this are pre fantasical

funny you say first 2 albums because I think The Question and this are on a completely different plane of existence from their debut
"I feel like no one ever talks about the opener on here, but the part towards the end where they're all trading vocal lines is one of my favorite parts." [2]
that, and the bridge of the closer, where it's not quite line-trading but it's pretty rapid fire, the "These words of mine are so trite and cliche" bit. Transcendant.

the only other band in this genre who came close to the multi-vocalist interplay mastery was The Receiving End of Sirens

Now that I think of it, idk if I've ever actually listened to that band.

"If Studying Politics was a little later the opening run of Question would be perfect for me"
Oh man I love Studying Politics. I think that was the song that really got me into this band

One of my long time buddies could not for the life of him remember the name of that song (this is before being able to look up any song at any time on your phone was a thing), and every time he'd get in my car he'd tell me to play "that song". Love that song too, but I've heard it so damn many times.

"funny you say first 2 albums because I think The Question and this are on a completely different plane of existence from their debut"
- I actually wasn't super fond of their debut and was way more into Question when it came out. The debut has grown on me a lot over the years, tho. I used to only really care for Bloodless (which was my first emery song)
I don't dislike Studying Politics, I just think it has a different feel than the other songs in the first 5 tracks and mebbe would fit better just a smidge later. It's a great song, probably really helped them get more attention, and was likely a lot of ppls jumping on point for the band
I think Alexisonfire does a great job with multi vox, too. Dallas and George are a force on the mic together. Crisis and Watch Out are fucking awesome especially, but I love all their stuff

Also, I is real surprised if you haven't listened to Receiving End of Sirens, em. You'd probs at least be into Between The Heart And The Synapse. I really like The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi, too, but it is a very different album than their first

I'll definitely give those a shot. Our tastes usually line up pretty well. Also didn't know that Alexisonfire had duel vox

Nice. TREoS actually has 3 vocalists on Heart but two of them sound so similar it's hard to tell them apart. The other guy is The Dear Hunter dude (who is friggin awesome) but he left after the first album
Oh yeah, Dallas does cleans, George does harsh, and another guy Wade does occasional kinda gruff cleans. He isn't as good as George and Dallas, but he adds another layer to the band's vocal approach and I kinda thought they never fully utilized it
They did quite a bit of layering with their vocals on their first 3 albums, but after Crisis it was kinda more just one of them at a time and Wade got used even less

I even listened to the side project Matt and Toby and idk which is Matt or which is Toby
also co-signed on the TREOS rec. Both albums are hard 4.5/5s, but Between the Heart and the Synapse is the most similar to Emery. The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi is a bit more experimental and I'd definitely listen to it after getting familiar with BtHatS

lol same, sometimes it's really easy to tell who is who and sometimes it is a challenge

I watched some live/music videos to try to differentiate them. It def helped but I still get them confused sometimes, esp if I haven't listened in a while. Certain songs I know by heart who is who, like The Party Song
