Well that isnt entirely true because a friend of mine introduced me to Death and listened to them a lot when we were teenagers, but for some reason i forget that they are dm, which is funny when the genre was called after them

My memory is dogshit so idk if you’ve checked out Deathspell Omega but to me they’re pretty much just black metal Gorguts so maybe pivot to them. Both could easily fill a top 10 metal records oat list for me.



Both have insane technical ability across the board and progressive songwriting that never feels overly pretentious… just don’t read their interviews lmao
