depends, if they exclusively play newer stuff then perhaps they've anticipated the uninitiated may turn on them if the set goes on for more than like 30 mins...
or perhaps they can only 're-learn' a modest amount of the early stuff to sufficiently placate the fans

I was reading some of the comments on Converge's IG page. There's for sure some overlap, but there's always a solid handful of people who claimed they've never listened to the band. And vice versa with Meshuggah. I can't wait to see new Meshuggah and Converge fans be born before my very eyes.
