Only reason I heard of this band back in the day is I was trying to DL a leaked copy of CoF's Thornography and the first track was actually Limbs, but retitled. I remember jamming it and being like 'wow, CoF is kicking ass, 2 minutes in and Dani hasn't even come in yet'. When I figured out it was Agalloch I got into them HARD. Good times.

Considering 99% of the quality of this band is the instrumental / atmospheric aspects of it, it seems weird to think of John as a ruinous footnote but he kinda is when you think how he disbanded a great band such as this.
