I don't think there's much of a difference really lol but there are an abundance of snare dominant fills and blast beats in that one if I recall correctly

Oh I bet it went crazy live. I'm just sensitive to certain sounds and for some inexplicable reason that exact recording bugged me

best part of the song was the second half til the outro cuz Thordendal controlled the venue til the end

That groovy riff in the bridge of Demiurge is so fucking sick.

Oh yeah it's a top 3 Meshuggah song I think! Entire track is golden. Gets the crowd utterly wild when played live too.

Demiurge single-handedly redefines the term "dummy hard"

Thordendal looking like Odin himself these days with that beard and hair.

I feel like I shouldn't put them at the top because that's what all the fairweather fans do. I feel like those Slipknot fans that say their favorite song of theirs is Duality but have never heard Iowa.

I always cringe when someone says Bleed is their favourite song but at the same time I kind of get it. It was certainly a moment. I just hope it's the album version and not the single version...

It is the album version. And see this is why I feel like a poser when I say that.

Don't feel like a poser, it took me like 5 years to get into this band, I thought they were boring. Then one day I heard Chaosphere at the right time and everything clicked. Bleed is great

Actually it took me probably 10/11 years to get into this band. Bought nothing when it came out, enjoyed it a bit and then didn't listen to it for a decade. Then I got on sput in like 2012 and saw that shug was a sput darling band and I was like "eh, ill try this again". Loved them almost immediately but it was DEI and blue nothing that really got me into them

Yeah i legit didn't click with this band for forever lmao it took me trying to deliberately channel the mindset it would take to write something like this to finally break through. the cold, mechanical sound being the entire point never fully clicked with me because i always preferred when bands would take it and infuse it with a more "human" sense of emotionality - aka, Periphery/TesseracT. But this is essentially the base that was built off of and I can't hate that. Plus this album has its own unique little dark void of atmosphere I think it's my favorite Meshuggah album. The leads are haunting.
