I'm not sure I know what it means for a band to be "relevant" or not. Either the notion reduces to something like a band being "good" or not. In which case, let's just use "good". Or it does not reduce to "good". In which case, goodness and relevant are distinct, and a band can be good without being relevant. But then I'm not sure why I would care about relevance. Goodness seems like the thing to care about.
