as above, definitely more BM than DM (2), so yeah not really comparable here - basic bitch comp has them leaning closer to DSO than guts, plus some avant / jazz noir influence or whatever

okay I may have exaggerated slightly, it's better than ONE of their other albums
Alpha occupies a space where chin-stroking disso nerds scoff at its silliness and yet it remains ungraspable to those who are allergic to anything without a hummable melody. i.e. win / win
also thought it was too divisive to be "overrated", but I guess that depends on one's starting point for comparison
