I'm not that well versed in recording tech of the late 80s but I feel like this album sounds more edited than previous ones. The drums sound a little weird in parts. I'm pretty sure they still cut tape for this album, but I've also read that engineers in the late 80s and early 90s were literally keying in kick drums hits because dudes couldn't play the parts lol. Pretty sure Lars has never played dyers eve properly live
