The best thrash metal album of all time.
This album is perfection. No flaws whatsoever.
Production rules. Crisp drums, perfect bass tone, guitar and vocals are at the perfect levels.
The riffs rule!!! Mustaine is a genius - the god of thrash metal. The Conjuring is some of the heaviest shit Megadeth has written. Then you have a track like Bad Omen where Mustaine makes it sound as the guitar is laughing.
Junior is so underrated. Great tone and tight player. The bass line in Peace Sells is fantastic but there is stuff just as good on the album. My Last Words, Devil's Island, and Bad Omen bass RULE!
Gar was one of the best drummers thrash had. Jazzy with ability to play tight and loose. Gar tears it up on Good Mourning / Black Friday and Bad Omen.
I could listen to CHRIS POLAND noodle all day. No one has a tone like this guy. The cover I Ain't Superstitious showcases his incredible skills. Unmatched vibrato and bends.
Mustaine may not solo as good as Chris or Marty, but he has some great moments here. His lead playing on Wake up Dead is incredible. My Last Words comes very close to being his best solo, but Holy Wars just edges it out.
Hard to make a top song list off this album... For me, The Conjuring is my favorite Megadeth track of all time.
Mustaine needs to get his head out of his ass and play this song live again.
I can go on all day about this album but I will stop here. If you are a metal fan and don't have this album you NEED it.
