I combined my favorite tracks from this and Negative Spaces and think it flows pretty well. It’s 53 mins, so a little longer than both of them but nothing ridiculous.
1. have you had enough?
2. the cost of giving up
3. they’re all around us
4. Bruised Sky
5. Constantly Nowhere
6. Unravel
7. vital
8. nothing
9. the center’s falling out
10. Eat the Hate
11. hey there
12. negative spaces
13. The Wait
14. If We’re Following the Light
15. Blink
16. Ribs
17. tomorrow
18. halo
19. Empty Hands

I think they all fit thematically too, and it gives the whole thing a little more variation considering this record has a little more of an industrial/electronic flair to some tracks

Im glad you like it this much Verdr
However for me this is very low quality. in regards to AOTY the surprise of Neurosis and double Converge, itll be a tough battle out there

She desperately needs to get rid of Fish. I like these last two records a lot but she really cannot go for a third helping of the pop metalcore that she’s been doing with him.
Going back and listening to her entire discography, her versatility is one of the best things about her, but she’ll really be painting herself into a corner if she doesn’t find someone else to collaborate with. And I’m not saying that because I hate Fish or anything, he’s helped her make two damn good albums (depending on who you ask), but she really needs to shake it up with whatever she does next.

“in regards to AOTY the surprise of Neurosis and double Converge, itll be a tough battle out there”
For me it’s Neurosis without question, but I would not be shocked if Converge #2 took that crown. The title track there is phenomenal and Jacob has said that it’s more “emotional hardcore” while saying their last LP is more metal… which is kinda exactly what I wanted to hear. Idk why he didn’t just use the word screamo tho lol, it’s not a naughty word, and isn’t that what “emotional hardcore” essentially is?
And Static Dress is one of my favorite young bands and they’re dropping their second LP next month. What a killer year for music already.

Yeah… like I said man I dig this and like Negative Spaces even more but she can’t triple dip man, she’s gotta go in literally any other direction with her next full length. if we get another record in this style that tells me that she’s just in it for the cash, which tbh, fine homegirl get your bag, you worked your ass off for it… but I’ll be very disappointed.
honestly the dream would be for her to team up with Kurt Ballou or even Will Putney or something and give us a proper followup to that EAT EP, but I don’t see that happening
But on the other hand we don’t have any idea what label pressure is like. I’m assuming they’re gonna want her to keep working with Fish even if it puts her in a creative rut.

When I first heard Negative Spaces my mind was completely blown, Poppy's vocals are on another level entirely, extremely unique sound, nothing else remotely sounded like it, incredible album. This album is more of that, which I love, I can't get enough of this sound, hopefully there's a lot more Poppy and Fish collabs to come
