Oh and Carson sounds A LOT like Jason Aalon Butler. Like that was the main one I thought of a lot

Parts of this are so sick and some parts are so mundane. It’s quite the enigma lol

jasons a good shout too
and yeah lol agree completely, feels like most of these songs have good ideas to them but then they j do something i do not fuck with and it tanks the song full stop for me

i feel like my praise would be duller if they made just a straight mathcore album like it'd still rip but the crazy variety elevates this

Yeah so far jamming this I'm wishing there was more metal because that pop punk kind of thing isn't really my vibe... but then Lemon was the best song on the album for me so far (body horror for birds just ended). Make it make sense!

Yeah they can slap down some cool riffs here and there but these extended non-metal segments they sound more in their zone idk

Ending part of Country Song in Reverse was dope, they should do more of that.

I can’t make any of it make sense. I was hype for it then I wasn’t and then I went into this with very low expectations and now it’s been on loop like 13 times in 2 days and I’m completely obsessed
So my favorites are Douchebag Safari, Lemon, Body Horror for Birds, and Country Song in Reverse. Not a weak track though, and shit loads of variety. I think the variety here is what keeps me wanting to keep it on loop

"But also, Jesper, do you ACTUALLY like it after hating on it early?"
noYES I MEAN YES I LOVE THIS

This is definitely not that good to me. Great album but nothing special. I understand the appeal for all the 2000s post-hardcore/metalcore scene kids though.

If I had to try and pick a top 3 songs right now, would probably be, in no order:
Demon
Schizophrenia Legacy
Douchebag Safari
could change any moment though tbf

the least mathcorey tracks here have ended up my faves pretty quick. everything's fine but even despite the Museum of Failure framing the album kinda feels less than the sum of its parts (and at nearly an hour that's a bit of an issue, especially when brevity worked so well on their debut and CT)
this does generally get more interesting through the middle and back half, so it's got that going for it at least
totally get why the hype machine is off the charts here but idk, this feels more of a "pick some highlights" record than a complete experience to me

Finding any part of this “mundane” just doesn’t compute for me.
Hey frost we get it, you don’t think this is that good. How many times do you need to pop in to remind us how different you are?
