Why does the moon even need healing? And who hurt it?

No no the moon is the healer, we are the ones who've been hurt, mostly by pitchfork and wage stagnation.

majora hurt it, hello?
this album is what happens when link fails to recruit the four giants

oooof I'm a few days late to this, but WOW. Easily their best record IMO. Dense, complex, groovy, unpredictable. Loving this. Need a few more listens to rate. Incredible first impression.

These guys are following the ghost bath album naming convention but make better music so they can get away with it.

Nice review! Album absolutely thwomps.

It's pretty fun yeah, glad to see a good comeback album.

Never thought the Ghost Bath album title correlation but it's clear now

Does anyone like the artwork or is it too noisy? What happened to the cow skulls?

It’s noisy but I love it

I have never heard of Ghost Bath until now but it would appear that they are pretty not good

Yeah I don’t care for the art but looking at the rest of their records it’s not like it’s radically different for them or something

I have a question though. I don't remember digging Sun Heater as much as this one. Was I missing something?
Definetly digging, the intros and mid tempos. It gives it cool dynamics and twists.

the thing that put me off most about this initially was the rather one-dimensional vocals, but I'm starting to hone more in on the instrumentals now, a similar case to Fallujah tbh, I'm reminded of them with these soaring lead guitar moments above all of the brutality

Yeah vocals are the least interesting part on here

I was always a fan of how distinct and articulate Davy's vocals are, at least in this realm of relatively clean cut death metal.

Davy sounds a bit like Devin Duarte (Worm Shepherd) (or the other way around)
|

Yeah I can understand people not into his sound on this record like this but I think it fits.

I like the vox. Someone already said it but I appreciate that he tries to change it up a bit. He doesn't completely nail it every time but at least he had me paying attention. Most DM vocals are samey to the point where I barely even notice them.
